allright dee, hope you get the big one. how far are you guys from the TB zone? where i hunt is straight north of warroad about 2 miles from the border, we are considered to be the tb zone now but they are not killing anything yet. we have 5 trail cams up there now and we have never seen this much deer activity. also if you gonna hunt up here you gotta promise if you see a cougar you will shoot it. i got an e-mail forward that showed someone caught 3 cougars eating on a deer carcas 18 miles northwest of greenbush. that is about 15 miles from where i live. apparently they were scouting and found a dead deer so they put their camera ont he carcass to see what would be eating on it.

I'm south west of grygla, so I am outside the zone. Still too close to feed yet; not sure when that will end? If I see a cat or wolf either one get tipped over. A warden told my brother a few years ago that there wasn't any big cats up there but too many people have seen them. I'd like to see that photo of three of them eating that deer if you can get it....

Cougars are SCARCE in Mn. Don't shoot them. I always like to know I live in a state with a nice variety of wildlife.

dee i deleted the pics from my computer but my boss has them at work i will have him e-mail them back to me again. and v2 they used to be scarce around here now the dnr has been planting them here so heavy it isn't uncommon to see them at all anymore. so you with a small child would want to keep animals safe that sit up in a tree waiting to pounce on prey? are you kidding me? they have been seen up to a mile from where i live and i have let my neighbors know if i see one i will shoot it and they all told me i better. i live right in town and i got deer in my backyard i am able to bowhunt so therefore the cougars can come in my backyard. you may have that warm fuzzy feeling inside v2 that you are safe down there from these animals but i am where they are releasing them and with a kid on the way myself i will do the responsible thing and discard these animals.

Deer count stands at one 15 pointer, two 10 pointers, a 9, two 8, a 7, 6, 5, a button buck and five does. Not bad for 12 hunters. We hunted all private land; mine and my uncles. We hunted about half way between Goodridge and Grygla.
