347 miles isn't that far lol. and i know about where dee's cabin is at but not exactly 100 percent sure. isn't it close to skime? and i know last year we had a blast, about 1 in the morning a buddy and myself got drunk and decided to take his jeep and my landcruiser mudding down my parents ditch, i made it further and had water flowing in the cab lol.

I've done the drunken 4X4 stuff - always a blast!!!

well dee i got bored with the fj40 and i wanted something with a little horsepower. i don't know if i posted this or not but i now have a 78 ford with a 400 big block with hooker competition headers, edelbrock 4 barrel carb and intake, msd ignition system, 4 inch suspention and 35 inch tires. it is basically my dream truck. the fj40 went to a better home, the guy is going to restore it.

I didn't know that; sounds like a better way to go - get your dream truck and more horse power too!!! I'm guessing parts are easier to find as well....

Hey I saw it - looks good!!! And in very good shap for a truck that old up there. The salt really eats them up

it does have a little cancer in the doors and bed side but not to bad. it was a north dakota truck so thats why it isn't bad. the green 79 i had that i used as a donor for the motor was in very good shape but i sold that one after i took the motor out. i am debating if i should go ahead and fix it up to mint or just let it be for now and get my new lift and new tires in it. i have an xd9000i warn winch sitting on the floor in my garage i have to fit on it.

It's a tough call - fix it up too much and you won't want to take it out and have fun with it

i think for now i am going to leave it as is cause i like using it as a truck i'm not afraid to scratch or dent. some day i am sure i will fix her up though. and i bought myself a new toy yesterday, i bought a .223 dpms m16 i always wanted an assault rifle and i finally got one. it is no colt but it will work great for my needs.

DPMS makes a fine AR. I have the AR10 in 308, and AR15 in 223. Both are great. Good buy Weez, you'll love it. Ive never had a single issue with either of mine.
