Default TBX shock length

Hi I would appreciate if somebody could tell me how long are the rear shocks on a TBX and if they are different than the ones on the TRV.Thanks for any replies.

They are different part numbers. Rear shocks - TBX vs. TRV.
Just curious - why are you asking?

I put heavy duty springs from Highlifter on my TRV and changed to 26 inch tires. Sitting next to the stock TRV the difference is about 2 inches or maybe 2.5. The added spring capacity lets me carry a ton of gear (see my pics) and stopped the roll-out in turns.

take the old shocks and springs out and get a set of air shocks from your local NAPA store.....they should have something that will work......that way you can adjust your ride to any condition (that is if you can find some free air)

if you need to you can find some bushings at NAPA or possibly John Deere to get the air shock down to a small enough bolt to fit your ATV

my local dealer is working on adapting an Arctic Cat right now...not sure if it is a TBX or not, but he told me I should try it. I guess he saw it on a Kawasaki and it works great. If you are interested call my dealer in Jamestown, ND

Dale's Motorsports.....701-251-2374....ask for Cordell.....he should have some parts info on the shocks and maybe know if they got theirs converted yet

My buddy tried it on his 2003 500.worked good the first few drives than started to have leaks all the time so he went back to the original shocks.

Artcat,

I didn't like the 10" on the TRV either. So I bought shocks and spring for a 500 fis and replaced the short ones. Cost me about $320 for the set from the dealer. Well worth it to me I ride Moab.

Hope this helps
