Default 500 manual

I have a 400 auto and plan on selling it to buy either a 500m or a 650h1. 30 to 40 percent of my riding is mud, but I also like speed. My question is would the h1 be funner on trails but not as good in the deep mud? and would the 500 be better in the deep mud but not very fun on trails? Also I plan to put 27X12x12 mudlights on whatever I get.
Any feed back from 500m owners or 650hi owners would be much appreciated.

Get the H-1, as extra power for mudding with oversized tires never hurts. The H-1 will have more torque and turn the big tires easier. The machines are the same size so the trails riding won't be any different.

Yup, what he said. Get the H1, just like the 500 only more grunt.

I agree with the Bear, I put over 4000 miles on my 98 500M before I got a 650 Auto. The auto's are so much funner to ride on the trails because you are not constantly shifting up and down on tight, steep trails. The H1 will have plenty of power and has a super low range to turn big mud tires.
