what you can do may depend on how much money you have to spend. remove the air box lid,replace the filter (i like the K&N my self) ,replace the muffler cap with one with a bigger hole or just replace the hole exhaust system but now were talking bigger bucks .you will have to re jet to at least to a 142 main ,depending on how much modding you do to the pipe,and there is a kit that will help you with that .and if you have any money left pick up a new rev limiter to get you an extra 1000 rpms. and then just hang on

 

If you really want to go all out then put a hot cam in it and a curtis sparks exhaust and a rev box
