DVX 400 Stuck Choke Cable- What should I do??
Hi, My son has a 2005 DVX 400 and has a stuck throttle cable. He toke the cable box apart, and lubed the cable. And still nothing. He wants to look into the bolted area by the carb, but not sure really if thats the problem area. Any ideas?? We are getting ready to leave on a Quad Vacation, won't be fun if he has no machine. Hope someone has some ideas... Thanks

You pretty much have to disassemble the the system until you find the bad part. Is the cable actually bad or is the throttle shaft stuck? Is the throttle lever frozen? Guessing won't find the problem any more than lubing the cable when the throttle shaft in the carb is stuck. With the cable disconnected at one end see if it now moves, if not disconnect the other end. If it still won't move, the cable is bad and replace it. If it moves, the the lever or throttle shaft have got to be the problem.
