A winch? I wouldn't do much to it except change all the fluids and filters.

The first thing i did after the break in period (100 miles) is empty both differentials, and empty the engine oil, and changed it all over to amsoil synthetic oil.

Since this is your first ATV, I say ride it for a while before thinking about upgrading. Everyone on this site has great advice for what you can do to improve your machine, but you also need to know what you think can improve your ATV can impact performance. I first thought I wanted to get bigger tires, but after reading everyone's comments, I'll loose power and top speed. Ride for a while and see what riding you do and then ask everyone what kind of performance upgrades you can/should make depening on the riding you do. Most of all, just have fun on your new toy...soon enough you'll be wanting to add stuff to it.

Cool Trox. Change the oil and filter, change the differential oil, and have fun.

Yes, change the oil ASAP and DO NOT use synthetic yet. Ride it for another 100 miles (150 total on your ATV) then change the oil to a synthetic (I use Amsoil 0W-40) and your front and rear diff's as well.

The filter should be on the front of the engine, and the drain plug is under the engine - right where there is a hole in the skid plate for it. As for the diffs, there should be two (17mm I think) bolts, one on the bottom, and one on the top of each. Use the bottom to drain, and the top to fill! For this, I also use the Amsoil marine lube synthetic. It can handle a mixture of 10% water!! Amazing stuff. Good luck and get some more picts up!

not saying cattermans wrong but if its like my old 98 300, it has a paper filter and you need to take the right rear tire off. (makes it easier). there are 3 (8-10mm bolts, maybe?) on the bottom of the motor that are in a triangular pattern. make sure you look how it comes out so the new one goes in the same way. there is also a spring behind it so be careful it dont go flyin out. also check the air filter. note on the air filter: OIL IT!!! manual says dont, but DO. rings will wear out quickly. mine wore out in 1300 miles(one year off riding).
