I guess I don't see the 800 Outtie like you do. The 800 was not made to pull. AC yep. Polaris yep, but not the light 800 Bomb. I don't need to tell you the AC and Polaris was made to work. Just look at the frame. Heavy guage steel; heavy hitch...........heavy everything. With things like alum frame and weight saving features the Outtie was made to go fast; not pull. Now can you pull with one? Sure. Driver for driver and tire for tire, and without extra weight on board a heavy AC or Polaris will out pull it.
"People aren't concerned with speed on a utility."
You haven't been reading the posts I have!!!! If you have, you would think 4X4 drags are a new sport!!! I personally think saying my ute is faster than your ute is like saying my Peterbuilt is faster than your Kennworth!!!
But that's just me. If people want to brag about their ute, let them brag.
As far as bottom end torque goes, even my heavy low HP Traxter can spin all four tires. For that matter, you could put a 24 valve Cummins in an ATV and it won't out pull my traxter if it weighs the same. With pulling, weight is where it's at. After all, that is why they have weight breaks in the rules.
Every manufacture have certain things in mind when they design their ATV's. Polaris and AC were not thinking speed. They were thinking work.
Bomb and Kowie went the other way.

Funny thing is, stock to stock, the 2006 V2 outruns the kawi 650bf, by mabey one length, because of the 06' V2s gear ratio being different. I think AC was trying to get more speed from a ute with the V2, but not the H1. The H1 is geared to pull a house. I know for a fact the outty 800 will spank my V2, and the 650 outty would probably win, but it would be pretty close. Thats the main reason i chose the V2, its a work horse, and it goes like a MF But trust me, if i had enough money laying around to blow, it would go on an outty. Also, i think the outty is an awesome machine, and riht now is its time to shine, but eventually, someone will make a more powerful machine, and it will be their turn to shine. And the rumors point toward AC working on the 800Vtwin, so we will have to see, mabey there will finally be some competition for bom.
