AC 700 EFI who has one???

This is an AC forum, so Polaris owners. I don't ride either one. But polaris has plastic racks that will break. Been there. The storage compartment will leak. Seen it. All that plastic and they are still heavier. The racks on the AC look like the way to go. If you can find a left over V2 that would be a consideration. I have seen a BF650 out run a SP800 in person. More than once. But the AC is a little heavier than the BF650. The AC is still lighter than the popo, and with that, and the ground clearance, it should defiantly go through more mud.

I like the way arctic cat beefs up their quads with nice racks and bumpers. Even though the polaris storage compartments are great ideas, I have seen at least one break. But, then again, the guy I was riding with who owned it kind of treated his quad like a stepchild.

I have a AC700 which now has 700 miles on it. I am very satisfied with the ride and overall handling. There is one issue that came to my attention on a recent trail ride. We were pushing it pretty good on some rough trails and I noticed a issue with the front suspension. The steering seemed to want to "wiggle" from left to right on uneven terrain. I intend to check this out. Possible causes, no toe-in, low tire pressure,(they are inflated to 4lbs) and sidewall flex with the tire. Possibly raising the pressure to five pounds will help. My wife has a 05 Kodiak with GBC Dirt Tammers and it handles like a dream. Much better than with the factory tires. Point being, the 6ply tire may handle better than the radial on rough terrain due to less sidewall flex.
I am very satisfied with the power of the 700. For technical trails the 700 has plenty of power and the low end torque is more than enough to get you up the steep inclines. Engine braking is excellent, especially in 4X4-low. I think Arctic Cat builds great ATV's and they seem to be doing their homework.

I think top end is around 70mph, and no, there isnt a rev limiter on the diff locks on Arctic Cats. They just RECCOMEND 10mph. Ive done well over that blasting through mud holes!

Love mine, I installed the EPI high altitude clutch kit that improved the entire power band. Can pull up the front end now with 27's. It also improved the down hill engine braking because it don't shift out as easy. I think the 07's are the last models with the heavy speed racks as standard equipment. Always starts right up no matter how cold. Mine gets the same fuel economy as the wife's 450 Kodiak (When were on a family cruise). I will be keeping this quad unless Cat comes out with a 700 or 800 EFI V-Twin with the Duramatic Transmission The 1000 is just to hard on components.
