Anyone have testing procedure for Regulator on a 2000 500A?

Anyone have testing procedure for Regulator on a 2000 500A?
Won't run unless battery is charged. Charging coil seems to be good. Wondering if the V. Regulator is bad... Hoping someone has the testing chart from the manual, so I can check it before I spend $300 on a V.R. Thanks, Rob
