Default Adjusting the valves

Hey everyon, just to let you know that while I have my ATV apart for cleaning I checked out my valves. They were over by .002 Probably not a big deal but I feel better about getting them back in range. Total time was only about 1/2 hour, but I already had my plastic off. Sure beats the $100 - $200 that a dealer would charge. So, go ahead and give it a shot yourself, saves you money and you learn more about your machine too. Catterman,

Good to see you are keeping that H1 in tip top.

They way I look at it is this...Do the work yourlself, save some money. THen you can spend the money you saved on more gear for the ATV or another machine!

I just finished the rebuild on the top end of my AC 400 and I think I saved $400-$500. Probably more but not sure. I won't mention how much time it took as I had a huge distraction..(fishing season).

Happy riding

SJ

That is a good way to think of it. I am sure you save at least that living out in the bush! Are you still in Sand Point??? How did the fishing season go for you? I haven't heard from my buddies in Dillingham yet so I don't know if it was a good or bad season.

No longer in based in Sand Point. Fishing season for salmon was slow. Ended up fishing Cook Inlet and it closed due to low returns(or late returns). Now the fish are showing up in huge numbers.

Not sure how things went in Dillingham and the Bay. I think the fish showed up late there as well but not too sure. Looks to be the same next year as well.

Oh well - sorry on the fishing, glad you got out of Sand Point, Cook Inlet is a nice place!
