Well ATVTV thinks that the out lander max is the best two up on the market and for good old Doug to say that about a non Japaneses ATV has to be a first .

I also would have to agree with Doug on the stability of the out lander he sad it is the stablest ATV that he has ridden.

I just looked at your pictures and you took your racks off your Outty? WHY What type of riding do you do with it ?

I use my machines as if they were pack mules. I have been on the Rubicon and Sierra Trek countless times and if you dont have racks to carry tools, food, water, clothes, or whatever, you might as well not even go!
>>>>>>>>>>>>&g t;

Well I don't ride anywhere I have to camp overnight on a trail system, I can wear whatever I need, I can fit water and tools in the storage compartment.....what do I need racks for? If I decided I REALLY did need them they are easy enough to put back on but I'd only put the rear one on. I can carry two bottles of water, tool and patch kit along with a tow rope in the storage comparment. I can still strap anything I want to the front or rear lids with bungee cords.

Ever seen a sports quad with utility racks?

I'm trying to get away from the utility look.

Just a personal preference, to each their own!

raidermike67 why bash someone. I think most people that read these forums are smart enough to realize these are just peoples personnal opinions. If one stands way out, so much worse then the rest I think the human nature it to take it with a grain of salt. Who knows this person might have first hand knowledge. So why blow someone up over it. I fail to understand. I have some VERY bad ***** stories about me ordering a arctic cat that almost made me sell my others, would you call me one sided?
Dont get me wrong I think they all have their own problems.
Sorry but this kind of stuff just kills me.

Yeah, I suppose you are right......here you have two extreme cases from totally different perspectives. I grew up around Ski Doo's, they seemed to last forever, know people with Sea Doo's, they are very dependable.......I've now owned 3 BRP ATV's and there is no way on God's green earth ANYONE is gonna convince me the DS650 is JUNK and the engines are crap.....BMW uses the same engine in one of their sport bikes. Where did Yamaha and Suzuki finish in the Dakkar 1000?

And as far as a DS being underpowered YES and if you would like to see by how much please go to Sand Mt Nev for the last weekend of October. We are holding drag races ( King Sand ) And yes we will have a class for your DS if its a duner thats what you will run against not drag bikes. So stop keyboard racing and show us what you got. I will post results on this site so if your DS is fast you will have something to brag about!
