I am a an Arctic Cat , Suzuki, Yamaha dealer. I used to be a BRP dealer. I am not a BRP dealer now because the product is junk. The attitude of BRP was such that they could care less if my customers were happy. The quality of the frame, the electronics and the engine are very poor. I have more cases than I care to discuss of BRP atvs breaking down leaving me with unhappy customers. The Cat , Suzuki , and Yamaha units I sell are in a different league. Also if you want insight into whicch units require more repairs, consider the cost of extended warranty.
The companys that underwrite those are insurance companys. They do their homework and know per unit what is going to cost them more money over its life. Extended warranty on BRP and Polaris units cost the dealer more than a japaneese atv.
First impressions can lead to conclusions that many times may be wrong. Just because it feels good today doesnt mean it will hold up well or perform good after it has signifigant miles on it.

Again, I call the BS card. Junk? Being a "former BRP" dealer I presume you also consider Sea Doo and Ski Doo junk as well? BS. I've owned three different BRP quads and have never had a problem that wasn't owner/rider related, these machines have never left me stranded once and have never had the need to see a shop. My neighbors own two Sea Doo's and have never experienced problems, only shop time has been general maintenance.

We got along with the Seadoo product very well. I still refer people to a good seadoo dealer in the area. I have no issues with that. My real world experiance with 300-400 new atvs per year and over 700 units per year through our service dept, says the Bombo's dont hold up. Given equal abuse on equal terrain using the same maintainance program the outlanders, traxters, quests, and rallys are inferior. I challenge anyone to show me an Outlander with 10k miles on it that hasnt had several trips to the shop. I see units with 10-15-20k miles on them on a regular basis that are used on farms , ranches and feed yards. I have customers with 400 cats and Eiger 4x4s that put 7-10k per year on their unit and dont bring them to town except to trade every two years.
If they were worth me selling I would still have them in my store. period.

Funny, guy here in Sac started to carry BRP just a few years ago, I asked him about some general repair stuff and he said, and I quote "I never get them in here for repairs, I've never even broken apart a motor yet"....I brought my DS in for it's first service and he said thats pretty much all he gets. My Outlander 330 rolled/skidded over twenty feet after a crash, upon first glimpse, I was certain it was totaled, half hour later we were riding with no problems, it never failed me. MY DS has been flipped and once rolled down a trail and into a tree....only problem was bent handlebars but we kept riding, never failed me. I know what I've seen with my own two eyes and any machine that can hold up to that unintentional abuse is good enough for me.
My buddies Yamaha rolled over twice down a hill, bent handlebars, and bend axle, it was done for the day. It rolled over twice gently. On his brand new YFZ450 he hit a dirtike head on at slow speed around a corner, it completely bent in his front bumper, in fact broke it in two places, it was worthless after that. I could only imagine what would happen with a tree at about 25 mph, I don't think you'd be riding it anymore that day. I'll take that bet with my DS or Outlander though.

Ughhh........ok, I think this is about to spin out of control, the same topic has gone up to 8 pages on the BRP forum.....Lets try to be civil, it's ok to agree to disagree IMO.

If your riding ability is anything like your spelling and grammar, no wonder a full sized Mans machine feels unstable to you. Go hang out on the can am section because we really don't care what you think about the best ATV's made. (ARCTIC CAT),

I requested a voluntary termination of dealer agreement. I maintain a 98+% CSI rating with Suzuki, and more than a 95% rating with Yamaha. My surveys for bombo were always way way lower than that because of customer reporting in the areas of "satisfaction with unit" and "was unit returned to dealer for repairs" and so on.
I need happy customers not customers who complain that their unit broke down and interuppted their work day, or customers who I had to drive 20 miles down a dry river bed to rescue when his Traxter-Max locked up.
( By the way would your dealer do that for you?) We traded back for over 30 Bombo units in a 12 month period , these customers all purchased new Grizz, KQ etc from us.
Dont give me crap about how good of a dealer I am until you come in my store meet me.
