12 mph average man you could do that on a moped, so why did you buy the biggest atv's on the market? I know you were making up for one of your SHORT commings LOL

Dottie,
I am not sure about the can-am. But my 2003 500 TRV has nearly 6400miles and is going strong. It hauls, works and plays hard enough for me and my wife.
Typical load is around 1000 pounds (on a tandem axle trailer) with two adultsand gear on the machine. It has gone through flowing water up to the seat and some mud with this load. It has had 25 inch and 26 inch ITP mud lites during nearly all these miles with no belt issues.
If I had to get another I would get the TRV 650.
I would say the only two downsides to the TRV are rack space and the stock tires.
On a side note. I am not sure all the quirks are worked out of fuel injection yet. Call me old school, but I think it gives the machine too many computerized parts that can fail in the back country and possibly leave you stranded with out the proper computer to diagnose the problem. Then again so could a carburated machine but at least you would not need a computer to fix it!
Ride them both and get the one YOU like and YOU think will be the best use of your $.
Hope this helps.

I wouldn't worry about the reliability of AC's EFI. It's practically the same technology they use on their snowmobiles so there really aren't any bugs to "work out".
