i have just purchased a 2004 650v twin artic cat and it has 26x12x12 rear and 26x10x12 front is this the factory size for this atv and if not will they cause me belt and axle problems?
also is a 650vtwin the same as the 650v2? appreciate any info on this.

 

Yes that is stock size, and yes they are the same quad, except for the gear ratio, and looks, and i think the racks are a little different. The engine is the same

get rid of the stock tires they have soft sidewalls which when going around corners at a higher rate of speed the sidewalls will actually fold over and create bad body roll. i put itp 589's on mine and i am very happy with them. they give a good deep tread pattern but most importantly they are 6-ply tires. alot of people seem to like the mudlites as well. i went with 27 inch tires and i am glad i went with a lil taller tires but 28's seem to be a lil much for my likings anyways. it is all personal preference. and the itp 589's are supposed to be one of the best tires on the market for wearing the longest, i got about 2000 miles on mine and they show very lil wear and that is with some highway driving as well to.
