Default 07 400 Auto - $6200 OTD?

Our local Bass Pro Shops is the only dealer within a few hundred miles that carries Arctic Cat.

They have an 07 400 4x4 Auto listed @ $5899, and I was told that that price includes everything except sales tax.

1) Can anyone confirm or deny that sales tax is all that Bass Pro will add to the sticker price?

2) If so, is $6200 OTD a good, fair, decent, or terrible price to pay for this machine?

Until I saw this machine, I had my mind set on getting the Kawasaki Prairie 360 4x4. None of the local dealers will come off the MSPR of the Prairie though ($5199). And then there's dealer set-up and all the other fees.

For $700 more dollars (locally), I get IRS and a ton of ground clearance.

All I plan on using the ATV for is getting around the hunting club.

Default 07 400 Auto - $6200 OTD?

I bought my '06 400 Limited Edition for $6200 OTD last December from Gander Mtn. The LE you get front and rear bumper, winch, and colored aluminum rims. The 400 Auto (regular version) at the time was about $5600 OTD. So, I think that price is a little high, but I have consistently seen Bass Shops $500 than Gander Mtn. and other dealers. Keep in mind the '07 just came out, so dealers aren't going to bend on price. As far a Bass though, it should only be tax as Bass/Gander usually have the prep fees in the price (check the tag they have on the machines). As far as the 400, I couldn't be happier with the IRS and ground clearance.
