My 400 automatic is not dissingaging to 2 wheel drive. I have to change the swich back and forth to disingage and the diferantion lock not ingaging. I try to adjust the cable but it dint make a difrent. Any body had that problem or know what it could be.

 

What year? My 2005 400 is electrically shifted (swtich controls the electric actuator and you can hear it run if the switch is working) in and out of 4X4, the locker is manual though. They are two seperate systems.

 

Yes is electric but you bont hear it ingaging or disingaging some times it work some time it whont the front diferansheal lock level I move foward and whont ingage

 

If it works sometimes, then I would suspect the switch is dirty or going bad. Go to auto parts store and get some electrical contact cleaner. Open up switch and spray while working the switch. If it fixes it great, if not you need to troubleshoot with either with a test light or a meter to deterime if switch is the problem, power to the switch, wiring or the actuator. If you don't know how to do it either find qualified help or take it to a dealer.
