I am thinking about getting some larger tires for my AC 300 4X4. I would like to go with 26 X 10-12 all the way around. But i am wondering what effect they will have on my machine. Some friends say it will cut the power way down. If anyone has tried this or has a any ideas please let me know. also if you can recomend a good mud tire that you can recomned that would be a big help too. any answers would be a big help, Rac

You have to maintain stagger, if you go to 26" fronts you will have to go to 27" rears.

I know someone with an AC 300 and he pulls 27x10x12 Vampires all around. IN high range 4th gear is faster than 5th(not enough power to pull 5th with the tires) but in low(the middle range) it pulls them fine. He has NEVER NEEDED superlow, but he uses it if he feels like it sometimes.

All he did was adjust the pressure to account for the stagered tire size.

IF you want a HARD CORE mud tire I'd recomend the 25/26" outlaws. ON hard pack you will be able to pull 5th gear but it will be alot roughter riding than stock.
