a friend of mine just purchased a 2006 650 h1 high output, with no owners manual, bike works good, however, recently the battery was dead, and when we tried to pull start it, it was next too impossible, we looked for a decompression button, but couldnt find one, does anyone else have this problem, is there a switch to make it easier??

Good luck is all I can say! They are impossible to pull start. That is why for 2007 Arctic Cat didn't even put the pull starter on.

 

I can hand start my 2001 AC 250 no problem. I have also hand started my 2005 AC 400, but I see no way anyone I know could hand start a 650, maybe a 500 if you roll it just past compression and got a running start thru the exhaust stroke to get past the compression stroke. Oh yeah, get this the 250 does have a compression release. If you were real tired or a wimp you could use it to start the thing, but I don't. The 400 does not.

 

I can pull start my kodiak 450 in the winter with thick(cold) oil

 

A 450 ain't a 650.
