front end lift?
#1
I'm looking for a way to lift the front end of my 300 4x4. It seems to have a little bit of sag, and I would like to level it out before I put bigger tires and a winch on the front. Anybody got any ideas?

That little bit of sag greatly improves ride it's called fall-out watch a dirt bike when you get on. To increase ground clearance an 1-2" on the front which the 300's need, Make up a bracket to raise lower shock mount half to 3/4".

I used the 500 cat front springs on mine and it worked great!! It lifted the front 1 inch and improved the handling. I lifted the rear 1 inch also by using 3/8 inch spacer on the springs. You could also use the 3/8 inch spacer on the front springs.
I also have a question for you, how does your 300 pull the 25/26 tire setup? I have been considering going up a tire size on mine but did not know how much top end speed I would loose. Can you pull 5th gear with that tire setup?

Copper, where do you get the 3/8" spacer.
As for the tires, I don't know. I've only put about 10 miles on it since i got it, and they've all been while hunting, so haven't been higher than 3rd gear, low range. Hoping to find out soon, but not too worried about it. With all ghe ranges it has, it should have no problem pulling them, and I don't need to go fast, that's why i bought the 400EX.

When I ordered the front springs I also replaced the front shocks with the 500 shocks. I used the aluminum bottom spring retainer off my old shocks for the rear spacer. You could make your own or have a machine shop make it. You may be able to order the bottom spring washers. You could stack 5 or 6 of them under the spring.

Thanks for the help, I'll have to try that. By the way, I had it in 5th gear low range yesterday, and it pulled it fine. Not real fast, about 30 or so, but it was still accelerating on a slight uphill when I had to slow down to turn off the road.
