Has anyone here put any of the Arctic Cat accessories on their bikes. The 2000 model brochure has a big listing of different junk you can get. I kind of like the front rack extensions and the camoflage cover. I already have the winch. Also, has anyone put a K&N filter on their AC? I wonder if there is any noticeable increase in power? They say that you can tell it, but they say that about a bunch of things so they will sell. I put splitfire plugs in my chevrolet once, and really didn't notice anything but a 1mpg increase in mileage.

I have the fender and tank camoflauge cover as well as the camo seat cover for the AC. I put it on yesterday and, man, it fits like a glove. The cover was definitely made specifically for the Arctic Cat. Once you get it on and velcro the seams and secure the fender clips you can't tell that it's a fabric cover. It looks great!
I was going to get the boot protectors from Arctic Cat, but I got some from Cabela's for $45 vs. $89 from Arctic Cat. What do you think I did? (Ha Ha). I got my lift kit back on and when I went to put my 26" Biclaws on the front, they wouldn't fit. Now I'm waiting on spacers that I had to order from Highlfter. I was going to get the camo rack bags from Arctic Cat, but Bass Pro Shops has a better selection, and I'm sure the bags are more affordable from them. So, that's the route that I'll take on that. If you get the rack extensions, Andy, let me know how they work.

What size Bi-Claws did you get? What kind of rims as well? I figure that when i get new tires, i'll get a Bi-Claw/Tri-Claw setup. Right now I'm thinking about magnum 27", but its a lot cheaper to think about it than actually buy it. If I don't go 27", then I'll consider Maxxis Shur Tracks or Kenda Bear Claws. The Shur Tracks look mean on that 500 Wolverine in the October 99 Dirtwheels. Also, did you get some camo tape or something with the cover? Is this needed for any real purpose? I just read it in the brochure and wondered what you did when you ran out of tape. Just don't use it I guess. What did the cover cost as well. I have considered getting it in the future too.

Do the new wheels have the same off-set as the factory ones? Do the front tires rub on the shocks when you turn? How much did the set (wheels and tires) cost?

I got 26-11x12" on all four corners. Rockymountainatv didn't have a 26" tri claw for the rear. I got 12x7 Douglas .190 aluminum up front 12x8 Douglas .190 aluminum in the back. If you do decide to get the Sur Traks I wouldn't order them from Rocky Mountain because, at this time, all they have are the 2 ply versions which aren't going to be any better than your stock tires. They make a 4 and 6 ply version, but rocky mountain doesn't carry them.
I paid $130 for the Camo fender and tank cover with the seat cover included. The fender and tank covers retail for $130 and the seat cover retails for $40. My dealer let me have that seat cover free.
The only thing I can figure that the tape is for is to put over the velcro slits and/or finish covering up the fenders down around the foot boards and/or bumper. I suppose you could use it around the edges of the cover to ensure that dirt doesn't get under it. However, if I were going to do this, I would just get the camo tape kit from Cabelas for $50. It has 4 rolls of 6" wide tape (12' on each roll). This should last you a loooong time. I'm sure it would be cheaper than getting it from the dealer. This is what I'm going to do.

Due to the lift kit I had to have spacers on the front of the atv. This would not be the case without the lift kit. They would fit just fine without it. The rear wheels rub on the redesigned rear foot brake due to the thickness of the aluminum rims. This shouldn't be a problem on the '99 unless you rig up the new foot brake. I paid around $580 for the wheels and tires. Don't let them tell you that you have to have special lugs because all you have to have is a flange lug nut or bolt which the AC has. I was sold 16 lug nuts that I thought I needed and didn't.

I have a 99. What is the off set on your new front wheels? What new foot brake?
