Winch mounting?
I just purchased a winch and got a mounting plate free from a local AC dealer. Anyway, my question is do any of you have pictures of how the winch plate mounts on? I'm sure I will be able to figure it out, but I thought is some of you had pictures of how to mount it, that wouls help! Oh, I have a 2004 AC 500 4x4. Thanks ya'll!

I also have a Venom winch - it works for me. I had a little problem with my mounting plate (tad too deep) and ended up having to put a couple nuts for spacers between my mounting plate and the frame. The reason being is the plate went back too far and was touching my radiator protection shield and bending it back a tad - not into the radiator but I didn't want it to touch at all. The two nuts I used as spacers ended up being the same thickness as the bushings in the face plate that is stock on the machine. Anyway it is mounted and it works.
The mounting plate is 'L' shape so mount your winch to the plate and then just slide it in place and bolt it to the machine with 4 bolts. Once in place then you can wire it up. I had to loosen the botls on the bumper guard and move the bumper guard out of the way.

Winch mounting?
I haven't used mine much but it seems to be on the up & up. I've been hearing around here its a good idea to go into it and replace the factory grease in the gear end which I'm planning to do next week when I get back home. I've got a good bud that I ride with who I recently converted from yamaha to ARCTIC CAT!!!!! he wants me to order him a venom winch.

i also have a venom winch, 3000lb. great winch for the money. i have last years model so its not completely seals . but i just got 1/4 50' synthetic winch rope and a HAWSE fairlead, works great. mounting was pretty easy, i didnt even drop down the front of the bars (although i should have to make it even easier). im used to building computers not 4wheelers and this was easy for me so you shouldnt have a problem.
