Default Stiff throttle trouble

The throttle on my atv is particulary stiff. If its a warm day and the atv has had time to warm up its not as bad but sometimes i find my self getting a soar thumb just after a qucik ride. Underneath the trottle i have applied WD-40 and lube it did some good but i think there might be a better solution. Any ideas?

There could be a minor kink, ice, rust in the cable, or maybe the throttle case assembly that attaches to the handle bars is too tight and causing some sort of binding.

You may try taking the whole thing off and into the house where it is warm and let it dry out. Then maybe spray some Silicone lubricant inside the cable and the throttle case assembly. Check for any sharp bends and make sure it is operating freely while off the bike then remount it and try to avoid any sharp bends.

That is all I can think of right now. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice, only problem is that the throttle assembly doesn't want to budge, i can't get the screws out themselves to take out the assembly. Ive tried and every time it feels like im guna strip the screws adn i don't want to do that.
