Default New ITP SS 106 Wheels

I just my new ITP SS 106 wheels mounted up on my atv. They look really good imho. I do think that they give it little bit wider stance than stock. I posted some pics on my profile so they should be viewable soon.

They look great!, I wanted 106's also but when I went to Rocky Mountain ATV, they only had three so I went with my next choice, 108's. I will post some Pics next week when I return from the Piaute Trail this weekend.

They are a 12x7 rim. It's actually the same rim front and rear for the 12" model. Honestly, I don't know if you can put a 12" wide tire on the rim. If I were guessing, I would say that you could, but that's just a guess. I eventually plan on getting 10" wide itp mudlite xl's for the front as well. That way, I'm running the same tires all the way around.

I put 14" SS 106 rims and Terracross tires on my new '07 H1 TRV and now have about 250 miles on them. I really like the way they look and the tires are working great. They ride smooth, steer easily, and have great traction. However, the offset on the rear rims is a problem. I am 52" wide at the rear and it has already caused concerns on a couple of rides. I had trouble getting through a 50" gate on the Paiute Trail on Memorial Day weekend and last Saturday I had to really squeeze to get between two trees on the Highline Trail in northern Utah. If I run into many more situations like that I may have to look at replacing the rims with something else with a more reasonable offset so I can get the width back down to no more than 50". Stock width on the TRV is 48" so the rims and tires widened me by 2" per side. (When I called ITP before buying them they said it would only widen it by 1" per side.) It will be too bad to have to trade them. But they are just too wide.
