Greetings:
I've been trying to send E-mail to ATV Connections to express my dislike of being able to access the forum topics for only 2 weeks, where it was 1 year when I became interested in this site. I found the archived information extremely valuable. I've attempted to send E-mail to ATV C.on several ocassions , but get only a automated response, if some one can tell me a correct address it would be appreciated, and if any of you feel the way I do about the 2 week limit, complain also. Some times they will listen if they are about to lose their readership base. Also complain to their advertisers. Thanks

I'm with you on that one. On several occassions, I've gone back 6 months or more to find usefull information, now with the two week deal, it's hardly worth looking at. What if they had a one week, one month, 6 month, or something? Maybe the full one year time was taking up too much space on their systems, is that possible?

Anyway, I would also like to have the ability to go back several months, even a year, to find information, some of it is rather valuable, usefull.

I also had a lot of good info stored in memory, no good to me anymore, can't get to it. I was wondering what was going on. I started printing the posts instead, which, by the way, is a PAIN.

***To whom it may regard:

PLEASE put it back the OLD WAY, if at all possible.

Thank You,
Mike

I agree, 2 weeks is way too short! PLEASE put it back the way it was. I think this 2 week limit wastes more storage space because the same topics get re-hashed over and over again since we can't refer to earlier posts.

Because we have over 15,000 users of the forum, and the forums get hit so hard every day, we had to cut back on the timeframe of messages. If you use the search button, you can still get at all of the messages in the forum no matter how old they are. You just can't choose more then a 2-week display under the forum topics.

When we're able to allocate $20,000 or so for a dedicated forum server we'll open up some of the restrictions.

You need to try http://www.vbulletin.com it's alot more resource friendly. The CF board is a resource hog plus this is only version 1.0! Vbulletin was coded with bandwidth usage in mind. Just a suggestion
