hope some one can help 2002 500 man this has been one of the best atv i have had. i have a problem with shifting the beast it seems to try to shift before pushing throwing out the clutch i see the two adj nuts on side cover one small one not i understand having one but not the outher one dose anyone know how to adj this thing or whare to find a manual .when going down hill with hold back you can not shift it at all any help would be awsome

Welcome to the forum rwjbchaffee! I don't think your clutch needs to be adjusted. I found that I would have to give my 500 Manual a a quick shot from the throttle and time my shift just perfect to get the engine RPM's to match the transmission speed before mine would shift up or down on a hill. If I were you, I would try this a few times before you start wrenching.
I put 4200 miles on my 500 before I sold it and I never needed to adjust the clutch.

thank you for input it just seemed to clash into gear when i shift on the higher rev'sor back load i bought new in 2002 has always been a little chunky brought to shop a couple years ago, local up here in VT good man been around a long time much respectied Jeff sad he thought the same as me but all was well with adj.I am a european tec saab audi volvo and it makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck at times when hit big mud and have to pound down a couple to get through can just see shavings coming off.knowing mine is not the only one is some help for my sanity.Not many cats up here to compare to thank you
