help with wheel bearing
have 04 500 auto right at 1,000 miles. just replaced rear wheel/axle bearings for 2nd time. fronts ok, good saels. the 1st time i replaced bearngs on the rear i used piviot kit and all was good but not quite a year and out again.just to make sure i got new bearings from dealer and still have some play in R.H. side, used leverage bar to hold lug studs with 4ft. chaeater to ground and a 3ft. breakover on the center nut to tighten.
still have about a 1/2 inch play in tire(at top wobble) just for argument sakes i traded bearings on back side to see if it made a diff. no. L.H. side is tight with both bearings... R.H. side still has play. bearing goes into both knuckles the same tightness (60 ton pess hand operated).
could this be a axle / hub issue? could hnot see any wear on either . or a knuckle issue, possible hole egg shaped allowing movement?.. tried to see both sides (no tire-no brake calipers) but brake disc and boot are in the way for good view. any ideas would be helpfull thanks

help with wheel bearing
I don't know if this will help - hope it does.
Problem: Rear wheel oscillation
Condition Remedy
1. Rear wheel hub bearings worn - loose 1. Replace bearings
2. Tires defective - incorrect 2. Replace tires
3. Wheel rim distorted 3. Replace rim
4. Wheel hub cap screws loose 4. Tighten cap screws
5. Axle shaft nut loose (Manual Transmission) 5. Tighten nut (Manual Transmission)
6. Auxiliary brake adjusted incorrectly 6. Adjust brake
7. Rear suspension arm-related bushing worn 7. Replace bushing
8. Rear shock absorber damaged 8. Replace shock absorber
9. Rear suspension arm nut loose 9. Tighten nut

help with wheel bearing
thanks but the problem is you can see the axle move when you hold brake disc and move it up-down. no bushings are loose on a-arm or knuckle it is as if the hub/axle move inside the bearing or the bearing is moving inside the knuckle.
neither the knuckle or the a-arms move
neither the knuckle or the a-arms move

Maybe the 'C' clips that hold the CV in the joint or the axle on the outer CV.
If the axle is moving on the outer CV joint then the little 'c' clip is broken, it is inside the CV and on the axle. Put a new 'c' ring on the axle and slide the axle back into the CV joint.
If the axle is moving from the inner CV joint then it is either the big 'C' clip or the little one.
