I AM CONSIDERING BUYING A 650 HI 4X4 TRV PLUS. BASS PRO IS HAVING A SALE ON THE 2007 MODELS . THE MSRP IS 8399.00 AND THEY RUNNING IT ON SALE FOR 6749.00. IS THIS REALLY THAT GOOD OF A PRICE AND WOULD YOU RECCOMEND THE ARTIC CAT.

considering the dealers around my area are asking 6700 for a 500cc, i would think that your deal is a pretty good one. on that note, i dont know what the 650 trv sells for around here. yes i would reccomend the ac.

tpack,
Unfortunately, I can't comment on the pricing since the Canadian pricing is so much higher. It's difficult to gauge what is a good deal. I do know that the AC dealers everywhere are putting on phenomenal deals to get rid of their 2007 stock.
Without knowing your riding preferences, I can speak only in generalities and from my experience. I've owned 5 quads, the last three were Arctic Cats. AC's are slightly heavier than their Japanese rivals but this is due to their robust, solid fabrication. These are tough, reliable machines.
My last machine was a 2006 650 H1 LE. This single cylinder "hemispherical head" design engine is renowned for it's low end to mid-range torque. It's has been sold for about 3 years and has proven to be very reliable. I am a large, heavy rider and it has not let me down in the least.
I personally like the 650 H1 engine. You know that is a brute since AC uses it in their Prowler which is a far heavier machine to push around. One fact that I didn't know until I bought it is that besides having a liquid cooled engine, the H1 also has an engine oil cooler on the backside of the radiator. It is extremely rare to find a quad that has both (I can't think of another). It demonstrates to me that AC is serious about making this engine reliable (i.e bullet-proof).
I had the standard H1 with the 50 in. wheelbase. Even as a single rider, I would like the extra stability of the extra 8" of wheelbase on the TRV at 58". The TRV's are very versatile and in my opinion a great choice.
In closing, I just sold my 06 H1 and plan on buying a 2008 Arctic Cat, most probably the 700 H1 EFI in October. I have had very good success with Arctic Cat and I can't help but give my recommendation.
Sorry for rambling on. Good luck.
