Yeh, I'm here in MN, my job is to keep buck in check. I haven't really ventured out of the area to ride but I do have my eyes on a possible trip to Arkansas next spring.

You know, I read two pages of 15 year old kids argueing about how smart thiey are but never read an honest responce this.

I have a 12 year old kid that rides a 300 polaris. I found a bargain on one of the 90's and would like to see it run over 15 mph.

Does anyone know how to do this.

There is a limiter in the clutch to keep it from shifting in to high range. My bro has a 90 cat but his is a 2 stroke and we took the limiter out about 2 years ago, I dont exactly remember how they work any more but I believe there was one in the carb as well. There is for sure one in the clutch and that is what makes it rev up like it does because it keeps it from shifting up, take that out and they will do 30mph give or take 1 or 2 and they will do wheelies with an adult, a kid is to small to really be able to do it but be careful, I rode my bros 90 more than he did after I took the limiters out, it was fun but now he has out grown it and we got him a 97 454 the twin to my first atv witch I still have. We are now trying to sell it, i will ask my dad what and where the limiters were, hopefully he remembers because I dont. Hope this helps.

 

Sorry to jump in here but my 10 year old son races an 03 AC 90 so i might be able to help with your governor problem. Its the automatic transmission. we had to completely change the stall spring, clutch rollers, and rear clutch shift springs.
But thats on an 03 so i dont know if that will help you, hope so.
