Default smaller tires

would 23 or 24 inch tires improve bottom end and trail handling with out affecting warranty on a machine that came with 25 inch tires?

There's better ways to improve handling that to go with such small tires. Tune your suspension and get your air pressure right, and go with a full size tire that is 6 ply, much less roll, much better handling.

Yeah I gotta agree with Chumley. Just yesterday I turned down my shocks in the front the the second softest setting and put my rears in the middle setting.

Then I put 8 lbs pressure in my front tires and 6 lbs pressure in my rears.

Reason...Stiffening your front tires will keep them from getting slosshy in the turn. Let the softer front suspension take care of the terrain and a stiffer tire will let it steer easier.

The rears you have to adjust the spring to accomodate your weight, terrain and agressiveness when it comes to riding. Softening the rear tire will allow it to mold to rock better and grab.

Me personally, I ride in NY and PA. Lots of trailriding and then into the mudholes. I take every opportunity to lauch my 400 in the air whenever I can and this set up feels good to me.

I got a lot of this help from this board. Tried it out and I like it...My Cat handles very well...plus your a little heavier with that 700

i wouldnt go with anything less than 25", after the 26" mtr's on the 650 go, im buying 25" mudlites, perfect combo for trailriding, good ground clearance and just enough sidewall for good handling and enough to absorb the bumps. read buckaroo's thread about suspension settings.
