Default Finding aluminum wheels and performance tips??

Hi gang, I wandered over from the Polaris forums. I just bought an 06 400 auto and am looking to find some spoked aluminum wheels. 4atvtires has some nice ones, but they dont seem to have the rear size,12x8, only 12x7. I have not had a lot of luck doing a search, but have not spent a lot of time on it.

I am ordering the werks performance kit. I hope it wakes it up on acceleration. Any other suggestions for better acceleration that are CHEAP? LOL I may play with the airbox to see if that helps airflow. The reason Im buying a 400 is the price. It was slightly wrecked and broke some plastic, but its a screamin deal. The cat seems to be more solid than the polaris in the suspension areas and sure steers easier. Im excited to ride a cushy quad instead of my coverd wagon suspended 400 scrambler!

For getting more air check out the 'air-jetting' post on either the 3rd or 4th page. Cost about $6.00 for more HP. You may also want to read 'How to make the AC handle better' also posted in the Arctic Cat forum and again either on the 3rd or 4th page.

Thanks for the links!! They all seem close in price. The werks kit will have jets in it, and I will definetly play with the air box. I think pumping the tires to around 20 aught to get some of the friction down,,,,,,,,,LOL.

If there are any hard to find tires or tire accessories you are having trouble locating, I would suggest you check out Ken Jones Tires. They helped me get some tractor tires I was looking for and they saved me a bunch of time and money. Definitely worth checking out.
