I lent my 05 400 4x4 to my father in-law and when I got it back it pours gas out the fuel vent hose underneath quad. I turn the fuel **** to on and out it comes. The quad will start and run but with a constant stream of gas coming from the hose. Any idea's?

Sounds like you have clogged fuel line. A vent will let air in as the fuel leaves the tank, if it is acting as an exit then it is in some way siphoning the gas. It doesn't make any logical sense to me. Are you sure it is the vent line and not a leak someplace else?

There is also an overflow drain on the carb. It is a hole or drain tube that fuel drains out if the needle valve gets some crud stuck in it and it is open. The fuel flow from the tank is not stopped bu the float and needle valve and to keep it from going into the cylinder and around the rings mixing the oil, it goes out a drain tube. I would check this in addition to what was already mentioned. There is a lot of crud in the fuel these days.
