Default Problem starting 06 500 Auto

After I ride for a few hours, then turn off quad, it won't restart using the elect start on occasion. I have to use the pull start. I took it to the dealer but he can't duplicate the problem. I don't think it's getting hot. It has happened several times. Anyone have any suggestions.

It has been my experience with problems like you have described to be some sort of a short or a bad electrical component.

It heats up when ran and some connection expands and won't make a connection until it cools off. OR there is an increase in resistance from the heat and you are not getting enough voltage to some place you should be.

ie....why you can pull start it. (First place I would look is the starter relay or selinoid)

Good Luck

Hey Folks
This happened to me a few times and I had to used the pull start as well. The next time I tried it it was fine and never give it much thought again until this tread. Hasn't happened in months.
