I am new to this forum and would appreciate any advise or assistance anyone can offer on a problem I have just encountered. I have a 6 year old AC 300 4X4 ATV that has never given me a problem until now. It was recently tipped onto its' right side then pushed right back onto its' wheels. It did not go all the way over and was done at a very slow speed. About 30 minutes of continued usage after that incident the machine simply died. It would not restart by the starter or pull cord. I checked the fuse box and found that the ignition fuse had blown. I replaced it with the spare and started the machine with the starter. It started right up and idled, but the minute it went into gear and I started to move the fuse blew. After using up all my spare fuses, I was able to bring the machine home by disconnecting the battery and using the pull starter to start the machine. It will run just fine without the battery connected. Thinking that may be the problem, I replaced the battery with a new one from my nearest AC dealer. Unfortunately, I am still experiencing the same issue, with the minor exception that the machine will now run from between 1 and 10 minutes of load time before the fuse blows again. The fuse only seems to blow when the machine is in gear and under load. It seems as though it will idle all day. Sorry this has been soo long. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated? Thanks.
