Default low takoff power

I have a 2005 AC 400 manual. When I take off either in low or high under a load it takes a lot of rpm to get moving. After I get moving and things kind of catch up it takes off and runs fine. It's kind of like slipping the clutch in a car. Does this particular model have belts and could this be the problem? Thanks.Text

The manual does not have a belt, they have a wet clutch system that does need adjustments every once in a great while. Your shifting forks could be bent which is not letting the clutch fully engage. The fork can be bent from forcing it into gear or shifting it to hard from one gear to the next.
