Default Winch solenoid location??

I am installing my gorilla winch and I am having troubles choosing a place to mount the solenoid. I have a 700 EFI. If anyone has any good spots let me know. If you have pics, please email them to me.

Default Winch solenoid location??

lol - wow, just went thru the same issue today putting my winch on. I have a 400 so not sure if this spot will work. I chose under the seat just after the air inlet neck is on the metal. Never posted pics on here before, but I'll take one tomorrow and show ya. I was leary about the seat hitting it but so far it seems to be okay. I almost debated putting it the storage area in front too.

I installed mine in the rear storage box. this keeps it dry and out of the way. this is on a 500 rubicon so I am not sure if it will work for you.

I found enough room under the seat to mount the solenoid. Now all I have to do is find a hot wire to splice into and I am done. Then comes the plow and mounts and hopefully alot of snow when I get it done to pay for it.

I had a devil of a time instlling my Warn on my 06 500. There is pre drilled holes thru a plate right aboue where you mount the winch and man what a time getting the wires routed and stuff. Got it in but it was not easy..

I was really surprised how fast and easy it was. Only thing that slowed me down was figuring out the solenoid location. The Gorilla winch mounted right to the mount that comes on the AC 700.

I installed the cycle country plow and it went really easy as well. I had heard that sometimes you have to cut the plastic protector on the undercarriage, but my mount went right over the top and fit perfectly. No cutting at all. I was really surprised that it fit perfectly. I am used to having to rework things to make them fit. Cycle country gets my nod for a great product.
