Holy **** williebee, we need to start a thread just so you can talk on it, even if its too yourself. You seem to have quite a bit to say! Williebees's Thread. Can we get that one going someone?

and i thought my post would be too long

weez440-dont know the power difference between 750 and 650 but that is one thing i forgot to say, if there was a strong point to the bf750 it was power. when it was "just worn out" before the rebuild i had it up to 68mph, everything stock exept for the bigger tires, heard the 650 supposed to be pretty strong too.

Guys, don't bash people for giving their opinion or their experiences. I have a V2 and I'm not happy with the starting. It is a tank though and I'll figure out the starting issue when it is cold. I like the machine, maybe because I'm a fan of Kawi's too. I like the power and I like the suspension. I did buy it used and it had a broken diff lock, diff lock cable and a bent rim. Not happy with that but that is what happens when you buy used. If you are not handy and can't work on the machines, I always recommend new as you will put in the 2-3 grand that you save in repairs if you have to bring it to the dealer. I've had 250r's, Lakotas 300, 350x's, ect... and this machine was my newest choice, cannot beat the ride. Though it is almost bigger than my jeep wrangler, hehe, i like that.

If you aren't happy with the starting, perhaps there is something that needs a little cleaning or tuning in the carb. Mine started beautifully until I started doing bolt-ons. Now I just need to get a different pilot, but I don't ride much in the winter so I'm not overly motivated to get it done.

The problem is with people that have one issue and assume every machine ever manufactured is junk. It's ridiculous to assume that anything man made will be perfect, yet some people run around trying to scare new buyers because someone they know had a problem once.

+ 1 on Chumleys response. IMO, AC is a tough machine to beat for durability. But there are always a few that come off the assembly line that have a flaw or two. That wont stop me from sticking to AC.

have both an 03 400 and 04 650. the 400 has been absolutely trouble free from when we bought it. this machine has been flipped and sunk and still runs like a beast. it just needs a new battery after what 5 years? thats reliability. As for the 650 i have to agree on the sucky kawi tranny, but the motor is strong as hell, had it to 72mph on a flat runway at a small airport we run at. had the belt trip issue maybe 5 times over the time ive owned it. 1 leaky front diff. seal and thats because the seal had gotten torn apart from all the mudding we do.

Yes the 650 is a tank, but im a big dude, work out alot and know how to use my body to throw this thing around on the trails, u have to use the power to your advantage coming out of corners so u can get it to oversteer. Its going to be getting a cdi box and new filter and rejet pretty soon.
