Default noisy 650 v2

I'm looking at purchasing an 05 650 v2 when i went to take it for a test drive the motor seemed kinda noisy, kinda like vavle noise, do these machines need to have the valves manually adjusted and is it a big job. also the speedo digital was burned out, are these expensive to replace.

If it from a private party, move on. If its from a dealer, have him fix it.

My cousin had nothing problems out of his v2 and it wasnt abused, The air filter sucks and its let dirt past the filter ,It handled like a tank. Front diff started leaking after 200 miles. AC wont honor there warranty.

I actually have a V2 and it has been a trouble free machine the entire time. I just think you steer clear of this one. The 06 V2 is the best model, with all the bugs worked out. To bad they discontinued it

I don't want to bash any particular model, i really liked my test drive on this machine, but after coming home and doing a search on this excellent site, i have to say it looks like the cam chains / adjusters are JUNK. there is no reason for a low mileage machine to be going through cam chains, i don't care how you are driving it, it seem arctic cat dropped the ball on this and as a result I don't think i will be buying an arctic cat.

? Thats the first ive heard of cam chains going out. AC didnt drop anything, sounds like an abused machine. There is a line to cross when you say I dont care how it was ridden. If you beat the **** out of it, and dont take care of it, it will return the favor. Good luck on whatever your purchase is. Pretty lame reason to shy away from AC.
