Oil seepage

Default Oil seepage

I have a 2003 400 maunal and there is oil seeping from a black cover on the right side of the top of the cylinder. anyone else have this happening or know what it is.

is it the round black thing.??? its happend 2 times to my 06 400 the first time the dealer took care of it and its leaking again so im going to take care or it this time but its an easy fix. just take the valve cover off install a new gasket and hightemp rtv silicone and youll be all set

thanks alot is there any torque spec on the bolts for the cover?

Cylinder head cover torque is 7 ft lb

be very careful that head is aluminum i would hate to see your next post being i cracked my head.lol

7 ft lb or 84 inch pounds. Go to the arcticchat.com forum and look in the pinned section under ATV's. You can find a manual for the newer AC quads. Probably not much useful chassis info but the 400 Suzuki engine spec's should be the same. The torque values are in chapter 10
