yup v2 said it best. the magazines compare it to an underpowered 400. they dont even compare it to a 700 when putting it against the competition. they put it up against a honda 350. i dont listen much to magazines but the 700 is a slow pulling machine. and i dont think theres much for mods for it.

I'm not an AC guy but I did hear that they have a chip for them!

OK so they're slow off the mark but nobody buys a diesel for speed. I love my 700diesel. I've puuled a two and a half ton tree trunk around with it no problems and it does everything I want it to on my farm. I recently started using it for a bit of trail riding and I find it just keeps going whatever you throw at it.
Mine has an over optimistic speedometer which reads 50mph on the flat tarmac but I've checked it with my sat nav and it's actually 45mph which is more than enough for the trails. Plus after a full day of riding in which we covered over 80 miles of trails I still had half a tank of fuel left.
It's difficult to find out what the actual power output is from the Arctic Cat web site but as it is re branded and sold as a Massey Ferguson you can find on their site that it only puts out 18hp but the important thing is that it gives 39nm of torque and that's at only 2250rpm.
It's a great machine and even better when you run it on bio fuel.
