Default '07 650H1 Transmission

Ever since I've bought this Arctic Cat last march I've only had one issue. Whenever I shift into high, the transmission doesn't engage right away. That being said, last weekend I got stuck and was shifting from reverse to forward. When I shifted the tranny didn't engage right away and I revved the motor before it did engage. This was bad because now it sounds like something broke in there. It lunges in both forward and reverse. Can someone tell me what I might have done and how difficult it will be to repair? Where might I be able to find a shop manual for this particular model?

Sorta sounds like the dreaded bevel gear. Go to the ArcticChat site and do a search of the "bevel gear". Do have bigger tires than stock? If so breaking the bevel gear is kinda common especially with the 650's and 700's.

Merkle, same warr. 6mo. bought mine in late dec. 07. They wanted about 600.00 more for 18 more months warr. total 24 mo. Mine acts the same way going into high gear, from rev. or low gear. All in all, I really like the 650 and hasent let me down yet.
