Need some tires
#2
Funny this post should appear now. I just bought some 489's with rims for my cat. I bought 25x10x12 on 10x8 rims from Rockymtn atv. I just this evening put them on and they are almost 3 inches shorter than the original tires. Does the rim width make that much difference? Also what will the differing sizes in height (front to rear) do, if anything to my drive train? Should I go with wider rims in the front also? Another thing is now my ground clearance at the rear is lessened by the reduction in height.. Questions, questions.

Hey Bigdcred,
I have a full set of 489's,I bought them used, about 300 miles. They look almost new, Might be interested in trading for your 495's if they are in same shape.. If interested I can take some pics. and post them...

DId you buy 4 or 2 tires??? IF you have differnt size tires front to rear you will probaly have trouble. I would check to MAKE SURE they gave you your 25x10x12's. If they are infact 25x10x12 then I'd try to get in touch with Titian, tell them your problem and you might be able to get tires that are right. YOur current tires might be defective.
Are you sure you have the same psi in all tires???

I find that the Titians on Arctic Cats are very good. They get great tractoin, last along time, and are fairly cheap. All-Traxs are a great tire, they will offer more traction than the Titians. The only thing about them is that the Titians will probaly be cheaper and ride better Than the All- Traxs.
