cat doesnt make a v2 anymore so the newest twin youll get is 05. the h1 is a tourque monster and imo would be your best bet. i dont own either but from what ive heard of the 2 the h1 is a work horse.

I have the H-1 and am very pleased. The thing is reliable and many friends that work theirs and the only complaint is kids getting them while they are at work and doing stupid stuff , crashing one, flipping another.. Just NO respect for dads stuff.

We just bought an Arctic Cat 650 Vtwin, 2004. I think it has 10 inches of suspension in front and rear. It has 170 kilometers on it and about 80 hours. Probably used for a bit to plough snow cause of the high hour/kilometer ratio. We picked it up for $5,500 Canadian. But, it's a pretty nice machine. It has a clearance of about 12 inches and we took it through some pretty deep snow, my friend was following us in our Honda Odyssey 350 and got stuck because there wasn't enough clearance. I'd say the snow was a foot and a half in some spots. We got through it pretty easily in most spots, there was one spot where we hit a deep patch and had to lock the differential and put it in low gear, but it did the trick and we had to pull the Odyssey out with no problem. I'd say it has tonnes of torque. It's got some pretty aggressive tires on it, larger than stock, so when the speedometer was reading 90, I'd say it might have been a little more. We also took it through some pretty deep mud. It's a winner in my book, I'd say the machines are pretty comparable. Though, this guy uses a lot of gas. It got to empty before all the two strokes! I don't know much about machines... obviously.. (hehe) and so I'm assuming the H1 would use less gas? I need to get my boyfriend on here, they're really his machines, he's ridden both, he'd be able to tell you some comparisons.
