Wow, I'm glad I heard that part. My buddy and I test drove one last weekend. It's crazy fast but the slipping rear end and rev limiter when the front end is locked turned us away. The price was just too much as well.

I'm not trying to discourage anyone from buying a Thundercat, they just might to wait to all the bugs or worked out before spending $11K. All my friends ride Can-am 800's and I still have a '07 Brute 750 not as fast as the Can-am but tuff as nails... of course I had to out do the Can-am and get the Thundercat, its definitly faster the the Can-am when its running (lol) THanks goodness I still have the ole Brute 750 to ride while the Thunderkitty is broke

The T-Cat will work out fine for anyone once the bugs are worked out, as for the limiters there is a mod to eliminate all of them by crossing 2 wires and your done. They are a great machine and they will last and be reliable once the bugs are worked out, remember ITS THE FIRST YEAR OF THE T-CAT so it will have its issues just like everything else. Its definetly worth $10,500 at the end of payments after I rolled over the one from my 650 I will have paid $12,500 and I would have still gotten it in a heart beat if it was $15,000 so don't walk away for a few minor bugs that will get worked out.

I wouldn't buy one. Give it a couple years first. Let someone else have the problems. With the problems that I have read by two people had combined would qualify the machine as a real piece of crap. I'm sure it will be fine once "the bugs are out", but I wouldn't spend that kind of money to be a test guinea pig. If the bike is in the shop all the time then its worth nothing.

I too have been looking into this fine thunder cat 1000. I went the dealer called Heckles they seem to be taking there time on getting me a price quote. . .
I was going to work mine so i wanted the Brush guard, 3000LB winch, matching tubular rear Bumper, and the 26" M/TR's on 14's. . .
I'm still waiting on the price quote. what i wanted to know but no one seems to know.
Dose the Thunder cat have a low gear ? ? ?
P.S. if they are putting 700 jugs on the thunder cat sled wouldn't it be a 2100cc ? I thought the T-cat sled was a 900 triple ? instead of the 900 twin. . .

There not puting the 700 jugs on the sleds, they are puting the 700 H1 EFI atv jugs on a 2008 Thundercat H2 EFI ATV motor, NOT SNOWMOBILE, the thundercat snowmobile was a 900 up untill 1998 when they made it into a 1000
