i have a '96 bearcat 454 and the reulator melted a new one is well over 200.00 i found a universal regulator on www.mfgsupply.com part#01-090-1 doesn't look the same but says it is universal for 12 volt system with rectifier i would assume it would work as long as i find out how to hook it up correclty if someone could help me out with this ? i would really appreciate it thanks.

 

i wouldnt if i were u, u might just burn up the rest of your wiring harness.

 

same thing just happen to my 98 454 2x4 not even 2 weeks ago, I for now I just have a massive car battery on the rack and use it till it dies but i will have to bite the bullet and buy one this week
