What engine oil for diesel AC?

5w-40 european diesel formula about 4qts !
you can use a 15w-40/15w-50 but it must be a synthetic oil. . .
5W-40 Amsoil.
15W-40 Amsoil.
15W-50 Mobile 1.
I would use 5w-40 Amsoil ! but any 5w-40 will work !

I own a 08 700 diesel and the manual says to use 10W-40 down to 30 degrees and below 30 to use 0W-40. The manual says to put in 2.1 quarts, but this won't fill it up to the full line. I usually put 2 quarts 8 ounces and it is right at the full line. I either use Amsoil 10W-40 high performance oil or 10W-40 Royal Purple in mine.

Hi everyone! Newbie here on this forum, but have many miles and hours ATVing in the last 12 years. Exactly a month ago I bought a new 2007 year 700 diesel. I changed oil at 200 miles and 30 hours. The parts man at Arctic Cat dealer called the head office and they told him any good 10 W 40 would be fine, but personally indicated that a diesel type oil would be best. I decided to go with 5 W 40 Rotella Synthetic. And as was posted earlier, 2.1 quarts doesn't bring the dipstick up the top mark. On my machine it is in the middle of add and full.
The air filter is a nightmare to try to get out. There is just not enough room to clear everything from what I can see so far.
