Default 90 Utility starts once, dies, won't restart.

My little boy is not happy. He has a 2006 DVX 90 utility. As i stated, will crank well, starts, revs. If you kill it it WILL NOT restart right away. Maybe an hour later. Took down the flywheel, brushed off the stator, dust, etc. Didn't help. Checked spark, none.

First mind is to change the stator and CDI box. Any thoughts.

sounds like you're on the right track. Does that bike have a cdi? I had a b&s motor with the old magneto in the flywheel spark system and it would do like you said. When the motor heated up it would run, but when you cut it off it would not fire. When the motor got hot, so did the flywheel and it expanded. While it was running it would still throw spark, but when you cut it off you couldn't spin the motor fast enough to create spark. I had to adjust the tolerances and then it ran fine. I doubt this helped, but I hope it did. Shot in the dark.
