Default Rectifier/Regulator

What will cause the rectifier to keep going bad and needing to be replaced? I have a '99 300 4X4 and have had the rectifier replaced twice in the last 4 months. I know a bad battery can cause this but the battery is not the problem.

OUCH!!! Twice in the last 4 months???

2 sides to the problem I think. Either battery or magneto. If you are certain your battey is not at issue, get the manual and check your magneto output.

Thanks, Sassee I did recently buy a manual and that is the conclusion I was coming to also. I bought the thing used and I think this has been an ongoing problem before I got it. I had it about 3 months when this happened the first time. Thanks again...

Yeah, the regulator/rectifier for my AC was $300 by the time I paid shipping so you definitely want to get that handled.
