CV boot fixed by Suzuki dealer
#1
Hi!
My local Suzuki dealer can fix my torn CV boot cheap. Is this the same as fore AC? I got an ac 400 automatic 07. Or is there any difference in boot "grease" or anything?
Thanks!

Depends on your meaning of "cheap". Last one I did cost me about $35 and took about 1 hr to do. So with your typical $90 per hour shop rate (around here) plus parts I am guessing it would be $100 at least.
Now as for the Suzuki and AC using the same parts? If the axle size and the differential end of the boot are the same size (not sure what it is) then it will work. Some of the parts I order for my AC 400 have a suzuki label on them so I would not be surprised if some parts cross over.
It is my understanding that most CV grease is a Molly-grease. Not all types of Molly-grease are compatable. Which is why they reccomend totally removing and cleaning all traces of the old Molly grease before replacing the new CV boot using new molly-grease. I guess it turns to mush if mixed with other types of grease.
