AC 06 auto 500 belt problems

Default AC 06 auto 500 belt problems

Has anyone had any problems with oil in there clutch cover? mine is leaking oil bad and was just wondering if this is a common problem. Thanks

I have not had this issue but I have read about some guys having a seal leak inside the belt cover. I am not sure how common it is.

I kind of figured that but i wasn't able to find a seal under any parts diagrams i searched i'll have to keep looking

Default AC 06 auto 500 belt problems

It's the shaft seal that's leaking, it's weeping oil into the clutch cover area from behind the pulley. Pull the back over the cover off, and you should see oil.

Default AC 06 auto 500 belt problems

i think i got it. it was the nut on the outside of the drive clutch it came loose and was causing it to leak oil from the shaft seal. i talked to my dealer and he said he had recalls on 04 and 05 for this nut but not the 06's apparently there was a problem with mine because after i tightend this nut it stoppped leaking.

Can you tell me what size the clutch nut(s) are? I am going to clean my clutches and check my belt on Saturday, but I do not have the machine near me to check before hand. Any help you can give would be great.
